TOSH

    • Bachelor of Music in Popular Music Performance (Drums), at University of West London

  • Todor (Tosh) started playing piano at the age of 5 and drums at the age of 10. He started his musical journey back in his hometown Burgas, Bulgaria where he attended the National School of Music and Stage Arts. There he studied classical music and he learned to play not only the drums, but other percussion instruments too, such as: marimba, xylophone, timpani, and vibraphone. By the time he was 16 Tosh was already performing regularly with his heavy metal influenced high school band in local venues and theatres and he was part of the local brass orchestra.

In 2014 Tosh relocated to South West London to continue his studies and to expand his network of musicians. He did a 4 year long drum course in the British and Irish Modern Music Institute (BIMM) where he had the chance to learn from top industry professionals such as Erik Stams, Patrick Davey, Elliott Henshaw, Simon Carter, and Yolanda Charles. He also attended masterclasses hosted by some of the world’s finest drummers such as Jojo Mayer, Steve Jordan, Keith Carlock, and Aron Spears which had a massive impact on his playing style and techniques. During his studies in BIMM Tosh also started attending jam sessions where he met like minded musicians with whom he’s performing until today both in the UK and abroad.

After graduating in 2014, Tosh started teaching both privately and in different schools and clubs around London. His teaching style is influenced by Tim Smart who was his music pedagogy and psychology teacher. Tosh has experience teaching both kids and adults and he approaches each student according to their needs, time, and goals. So whether you are an advanced drummer or a complete beginner looking for a new hobby, Tosh’s lesson are always tailored for each individual student so that you always get the best out of it.

“ I believe that music is joy and that if we all learn to play a musical instrument the world would be a better place. My goal as a teacher is to motivate my students to achieve their musical goals , and share my knowledge and passion for music. “
