At the year of 31, I feel like learning keyboard was a life changing decision. Nicole at B Sharp studios has fulfilled my dream. Learning with Nicole was such a pleasure and I was amazed at the vast amount of progress we made in such a short space of time. I went from knowing a few chords to knowing all major and minor chords, all major scales and even explore chord variations and fingering patterns in just three lessons! I can now accompany myself and others confidently and create my own exercises and generally feel confident in my piano playing! Not only this, Nicole has such a warm and friendly nature and is so encouraging! She knew exactly which challenge to set and was so active in following up with my progress and ensuring that I was constantly improving. I cannot recommend her enough for anyone wanting to learn. I started to take virtual piano lessons from Aimee during lockdown. I had no prior experience of playing the piano, even though it was my childhood dream! I was quite nervous and not quite sure what to expect on early days as I am not the most talented. Three months in we started talking about grade 1 exams!!! Aimee is absolutely fascinating, she adjusts to your pace, is really keen to understand what you enjoy and always keeps you motivated to learn more. I walk away from every lesson feeling that I have learnt something new in just 30 minutes and enjoy practicing a new skill! I remember reaching out to Nicole, feeling embarrassed as I thought that I was too old for this. She immediately put my mind at ease and encouraged me to not let my age get in the way of learning the piano. She was right! I am loving it! Martin has helped with both the practical and theoretical elements of playing the piano. He has taught me exercises for a warm up; helped to break down difficult sections and explained the musicality within various pieces. In just a short time, I have noticed a big improvement in my playing. He is a patient and thoughtful teacher and I have enjoyed my lessons with him very much.

Martin is a brilliant teacher and the loveliest guy too - he makes all his lessons fun, varied and tailored to whatever you want to learn, and is very encouraging and enthusiastic about your progress. If you want to learn music theory, he will teach you this in the context of the tunes you are learning so it makes sense and is memorable; Martin packs lots into a lesson and you feel like you have really achieved something.
