Thomas

  • Thomas is a bass trombone player who has received world class training from current players in professional music, including Andrew Fawbert, Ian Bousfield and Roger Argente.

    In 2015, aged 16, Thomas played the world premiere for Anna Meredith's Smatter Hauler in the BBC Proms with the Aurora orchestra and participated in a masterclass with the current LSO bass trombone, Paul Milner.

    In 2016 he played in Exeter Cathedral performing Giuseppe Verdi's Requiem and participated in the London Symphony Orchestra Academy for brass, a week long course dedicated to learning ensemble playing and orchestral excerpts taken by the LSO's brass principle players.

    For the last 4 years Thomas has been requested to play with the National Youth Wind Ensemble and has performed in Saffron Hall and the Clarissa Farr Theatre in a variety of styles and genres, including jazz orchestra, wind ensemble, symphony orchestra and a trombone octet.

    Thomas has recently graduated from The Royal College of Music where he has been studying bass trombone under Dave Stewart.
